Superintendent Taylor Releases Letter Regarding School Threats

**Dear Parents,**

We want to take a moment to address a matter that has been in the news lately. Recently, there has been an increase in reported threats to our schools both locally and across the country. While none of these threats have been found credible, we want to express our appreciation for the close collaboration between our school administration and law enforcement in investigating every report thoroughly.

As parents, you play a critical role in helping us maintain a safe environment for all students. Please remind your child of the seriousness of making any kind of threat. We take each report very seriously and, in partnership with law enforcement, will investigate all threats carefully. The consequences for such actions are severe. If a student is identified, they will face disciplinary action in line with our district policy and could also face legal prosecution.

We also encourage you to talk with your child about the importance of reporting any threats they may come across. If they see or hear something, they should immediately notify an administrator, teacher, or staff member.

Thank you for your ongoing support and for working with us to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

Sincerely,
Dr. Beth Taylor
Superintendent
