District 52 Shows Improvement on End-of-Course Assessments

The South Carolina Department of Education recently released the 2023-2024 school year results for the End-of-Course Examination Program (EOCEP) and SC Career Readiness Assessments. The End-of-Course Examination Program (EOCEP) is a statewide assessment program of end-of-course tests for gateway courses awarded units of credit in ELA, mathematics, science, and social studies.


According to a South Carolina Department of Education press release, District 52 achieved the state’s 75% proficiency goal for student achievement on the Algebra I EOCEP, improving by 35 percentage points from 2023 to 2024. District 52 also was recognized in the press release for achieving the state’s 75% proficiency goal for student achievement on the English 2 EOCEP. 


“We are extremely proud of our district’s improvement on the End-of-Course Examination Program assessments ,” Superintendent Dr. Beth Taylor stated. “As always, our scores are a reflection of the hard work of our dedicated teachers and exceptional students. We strive on a daily basis to make a difference in the lives of our children as we continue to work towards producing college and career ready graduates.”
