Three new assistant principals were announced following a recent Greenwood School District 52 Board of Trustees meeting.
Michelle McConaghy has been named as the new assistant principal at Ninety Six Elementary School. McConaghy is currently the district’s math coach/specialist, a position she has held for the last two years. During her 18 years in public education, McConaghy has worked as a middle and high school math teacher, facilitator, and coach in Greenwood School District 50 and Connecticut schools. She received her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from Southern Connecticut State University and her Masters degree in Secondary Education Mathematics from the University of Bridgeport. She also obtained her Educational Leadership certification from the University of Bridgeport. McConaghy will continue her duties as the district’s math coach and serve as a part-time assistant principal at the elementary school.
Wesley Carwille will be the new assistant principal at Edgewood Middle School. Carwille is currently an 8th grade math teacher at Starr Iva Middle School in Anderson School District Three. Prior to working in Anderson School District Three, Carwille served as a middle school math and elementary school teacher in Anderson District One for eight years. Carwille received his bachelor’s degree from Clemson University and his Master of Education in Education Administration from the University of South Carolina.
William Clark has been named as the new assistant principal at Ninety Six High School. Clark is currently an assistant principal at Richland Northeast High School, a position he has held for the last two years. Prior to working in Richland, Clark served as an elementary physical education teacher in Lexington School District One, Lexington-Richland District 5, and Orangeburg 5. Clark obtained his bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Lander University and his master’s degree from the University of South Carolina in Educational Leadership.
